This book had the right amount of everything. Strong characters, intense story line, interesting setting, beyond crazy goals and intense love. I appreciated the build up to sex and a brief sex scene. The intense feelings these two characters exhibited was enough to keep me drooling and on the edge of my seat. I will definitely be reading more from this author.
This was a great book with just minor sex in it. I found that I really got caught up in the story and am considering the next book in the series. This was a stand alone but I assume the same people will carry into the next book.
Good story. A Navy Officer who is a woman who wants to be a seal is in conflict with her commanding officer. Both are driven by a desire for each other. Conflicts with superior/subordinate causes many problems with commander supporting his potential seal student. Finally she, his love interest, graduates from Seal School and is on a mission with a seal team. She is married as she eloped with her commander. This action was quick and very secret from her and his family. Good story. This leaves open the relationship after they reconcile from a contentious disagreement n her wanting and graduating to be a Navy Seal. Her commander and new husband has a strong resistance to her being a seal.

Commander Marc Miller, Navy S.E.A.L. instructor, says "no way" this woman is joining the training program.
She is conducting a study to allow women into S.E.A.L., but the Commander could not be more clear about the fact he is not going to allow such a thing to happen.
Tabby is tough and her goal is to be taken seriously and asks no special favors. As you read on, it is clear that she receives none.
Commander Miller is about to make Hell Week her worst nightmare.
The author, Rogenna Brewer, is an amazing writer in that she writes real, her stories have background and substance.
You will find yourself cheering, laughing, crying, angry and feeling all the emotions a really great book brings.

This a story of Lieutenant Tabitha (Tabby) Chapel-Prince, who has always wanted to be a Navy SEAL following in her father's footsteps. Tabby's father was the Commander of the SEAL's in Coronado California for years. The new Commander Marc Miller was the only person standing in her way of realizing her dream of becoming the first female to complete the SEAL training program. He did not want her to succeed. Her champion is Rear Admiral Grommley herself the first women to attain such a position. Admiral Mitchell Dann, Tabby's godfather and supposed supporter, try's to block her appointment to the SEALs training program, but pretends that he is on her side. The story shows how hard women have to push themselves to become what is not consider traditional jobs within the armed services. I salute the women who have made inroads and contributions to non traditional service positions within the armed services. As much as I enjoy romance stories, in this instance the author would have better served the women who have the guts to try and show the world that they can become excellent contributors to any team, by limiting the romance aspects of the story towards the ending of the story rather than where she started the scenes of romance. For me that was disappointing. Overall a good story.
Loved this book! Excellent writing by a Navy veteran. All military jargon was explained well and there was nothing sappy about this story. Well-researched SEAL training too. And EXCELLENT sexual tension!!! Just ordered the next in the series. Write on, Rogenna Brewer!
I really enjoyed this book! I loved the strong characters. I don't know anything about being in the navy or SEAL training or what they do, so I can't comment on how realistic it is for women to do SEAL training. However, I did enjoy the realism in the fact that the hero didn't want the heroine to be a SEAL. That he pushed for her to be safe. That she felt pressure to compromise her dream so that they could be together. I feel that's real life for women - if you want to have kids, you are going to be expected to compromise. Personally I feel that it's more than worth it, because being a parent is the best and most important occupation in the world.
The book flowed well and was easy to read.
My main negative is that the ending felt a bit abrupt. I would've loved an epilogue

to show that they really did make it work and it wasn't all just lip service and the emotions of the moment there at the end.
